Woodland Park
In past years the residents of formerly known West Paterson, New Jersey have attempted to change the boroughs name, but to no avail. Then in November of 2008 the vote passed; West Paterson of Passaic County was now known as Woodland Park. The renaming was due to the boroughs fear of being associated with the larger city of Paterson, which is known to have high crime rates and to be significantly impoverished. Now this name change did not come without controversy. Businesses affected by this modification worried of the unnecessary money that would be spent and were weary that the history of West Paterson would be forgotten. Also many believed that by changing West Paterson to Woodland Park ideas of racism would arise because the city of Paterson is predominately black and Hispanic while Woodland Park is mostly comprised of Caucasians.
Woodland Park School District serves students from grades K-8, in total educating more than 900. The schools are set up differently than others in Passaic County. Beatrice Gilmore School serves students grades K-2, Charles Olbon School teaches students grades 3-4, and Memorial School educated students grades 5-8. Passaic Valley Regional High School is where students grades 9-12 attend school. Berk The Garret Mountain campus of Berkeley College is also located in Woodland Park.
Route 80 and 46 surround Woodland Park giving commuting residents access to major veins when driving out of the borough.

The Caldwells were settled in the early 18th century by pioneers who moved westward from Newark or through the Passaic Valley from the "Dutch" areas of Bergen County. The resulting Horse Neck Riots of the 1740s were among the earliest American challenges to Royal authority.

Students in Caldwell attend the Caldwell-West Caldwell Public School system, which is compirsed of four elementary schools, one middle school, and a high school and serves students from both Caldwell and neighboring West Caldwell. Washington, Jefferson, and Wilson elementary schools are located in West Caldwell. Lincoln Elementary is located in Caldwell. These schools begin with kindergarten and end with fifth grade. All students in the district attend Grover Cleveland Middle School in Caldwell from grade six to eight. The Township of Cedar Grove is a suburban municipality located in the northeastern part of Essex County, New Jersey. The community is primarily residential in nature, with a population of 12,300. The Township is served by a 32-person Police Department, considered one of the finest in the state. It has a chartered 75-Member Volunteer Fire Department and a highly-trained volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Squad. Volunteerism is the backbone of this community as exemplified by these fine squads.

Originally named West Bloomingdale, Butler a borough in New Jersey, was not as densely populated as it is now. Around 1920 Butler was home to a little more than 2,000; and now there is almost 7,500 residents in this rustic borough!
Richard Butler took ownership of the Hard Rubber Company erected in Butler at the time, thus getting the name Butler. This company would later merge with The Hard Rubber Company to form the American Hard Rubber Company in 1898. A variety of organizations and community groups are shared between Kinnelon, Bloomingdale and Butler like the Little League Teams and the volunteer EMS.
The Aaron Decker Schools serves students from grades K-4 while children in grades 5-8 attend the Richard Butler School. Students from Butler and Bloomingdale attend Butler High School. There is also a Catholic school within the borough limits. St. Anthony of Padua School operates under the auspices or patronage of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Paterson.
New Jersey Transit buses run in and out of Butler on the 194 route to the Port Authority Bus Terminal n Manhattan; and runs on the 75 route to Newark.

Upper Montclair has road connections to the rest of Montclair, Cedar Grove, Little Falls, Clifton, and Bloomfield. Just north of the neighborhood's border is U.S. Route 46 and New Jersey Route 3. The area is also on NJ Transit's bus route 28, which goes from Montclair State University or Willowbrook Mall along Valley Road through Montclair, Glen Ridge and Bloomfield, to Downtown Newark. In Upper Montclair there are a total of three train stations; of the overall seven in Montclair.
